For those wanting plenty of action-adventure, Lightwater Valley Theme Park is only 5 miles from the park – perfect for when younger family members and visitors come to stay.

You can explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park by car, on foot or by train. The rural town of Thirsk; once home and workplace of James Herriot; arguably Britain’s most famous Vet, is a short distance away.
